Organizational Quality Assessment
- Communicate the company’s annual objectives to relevant departments to support planning and performance improvement in line with organizational standards.
- Support monitoring and governance of departmental performance to ensure compliance with annual strategic performance targets.
HSSEQ Management
- Establish HSSEQ policies covering quality, security, safety, occupational health, and the environment, ensuring safe navigation, healthy working conditions, and environmental standards.
- Organize HSSEQ training sessions for crew members before and after deployment to ensure compliance with regulations and instill a strong safety mindset.
- Collect, review, and verify supporting documents and records from the fleet.
- Analyze onboard injury data, track safety performance statistics (including Loss Time Injury rates), and implement corrective actions to achieve KPI targets.
- Conduct quarterly pre-inspections on vessels, monitor inspections by clients or OVID inspectors, follow up on corrective actions, and record findings in the non-conformance reporting system.
Safety Management under ISM
- Support ongoing safety training for crew members in accordance with the ISM Code and Safety Management System (SMS) to promote a sustainable safety culture onboard.
- Prepare and implement emergency response procedures, report accidents and non-conformities, and follow up on safety reporting (Near Miss and Potential Incident Reports) including preventive measures.
- Investigate and analyze the root causes of accidents (Unsafe Conditions, Unsafe Acts) to identify preventive actions and improve systems.
- Act as a core member of the company’s Emergency Response & Business Continuity Plans (ERP & BCP) team, and participate in annual DPA-led drills.
Risk Management
- Review and assess risks in various work processes onboard and in the office.
- Deliver risk management training to crew, including practical examples of potential risks in vessel operations.
- Support the preparation of Management of Change (MOC) documentation for masters, chief officers, and chief engineers regarding operational changes onboard.
Quality and Environmental Management Systems
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality management system standards, environmental management standards, applicable laws, and customer requirements, driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science in Occupational Health and Safety, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HSSEQ within Marine, Offshore Oil & Gas, or related industries.
- Age 30 years or older.
- Proficiency in using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Basic skills in risk assessment and hazard identification.
